Slow Roll Parade Coming…

Hundreds of cyclists ride in Sun City West (SCW), and the Cyclists Club is hosting a Slow Roll Bike Parade on March 9 to encourage safe practices. “We want to raise awareness of the many cyclists riding in Sun City West,” said Rick Staeb, the event organizer. “Further, we want to convey safe practices for cyclists and drivers. It is worthwhile if we prevent one bike accident through this effort.”

The parade starts at 10 am in the Kuentz Recreation Center parking lot behind the Stardust Theater. Cyclists will ride the 9-mile course in groups of 8. Vehicle escorts will direct bikes and traffic, and the hour-long parade will end at Kuentz with refreshments.

Participants are limited to 75, and riders must email their name and phone number to Rick at staebrw@gmail.com or text 360-739-2240 to register.
